Any house swappers / traders out there?

I want someone to come in mid-October, harvest and can all the apples for me! It is usually about a weeks worth of work for me. Applesauce, apple jelly, apple pie filling, apple cider, till you hate apples!

Use of cars can also be on or off the table. A woman from Paris just did a two month exchange with someone in Vancouver BC, and took care of a cat. The apt in paris was tiny with a view, and the home in Vancouver was 6200 sf, on the water (with a spoiled indoor cat) and both parties were thrilled with the exchange.

I don't have a dog anymore, but would be fine with taking care of someone elses.

I'd be terrified they wouldn't be loved. I'm a sap.

We did this (well, not a swap but stayed in someone's home and they went and stayed with relatives) during the Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Yes, that was a long time ago, but I still remember the two adorable kitties that we spent the week with! They just climbed in bed with us and purred away. <3

Kirmy, we didn't try this sooner because that was our worry with Bear. We were convinced someone would just lock him in the back yard for the month until we got home. We, on the other hand, would LOVE to take care of a pet on the other end, and would spoil it like our own.

We went vacation home shopping in the little town where we like to ski, and think we picked a property that we will use as a vacation swap house as well. It's nestled between national park areas (Mt Rainier/Gifford Pinchot nat forest, and Mt St Helens) and abuts one.

Between skiing in the winter, and the national parks and forest and festivals they have in the little towns there, we are HOPING that someone will be open for a swap. It's between Seattle and Portland, but not super close to either. Fingers crossed.
