Wow, you got thighs approved? Lucky... I had surgery on Monday and they let me go home tuesday morning. I technically had two surgeries, my lower roll and upper roll but it was basically one procedure. The first day I had total buyers remorse. The second day too. Since Wednesday, though, things are much better.

Do you know how long your drains will stay in? I'm going to keep following you until I have my first surgery.

I have the top roll and bottom sag as well. I would just like my clothes to fit better and not have a roll pop out of my shirt... :frown:

I haven't been able to get a solid answer from anyone because everyone is different. It's basically until the output is less than 25ml in 24 hours. I'm still at 100 at least =( I was told to call early next week to let them know. They did tell me they won't hurt coming out, but it probably won't be comfortable.

How long did they say you should be out of work? I work a relaxed desk job.

I was given 6 weeks but I don't think I'll need that long. I was also told that I may go through a depression in a week or so when e everything sucks and I'm swollen and miserable but everyone is happy in the end. I got a naked picture of myself on the table yesterday and I'm actually really happy. I look like a normal person!

I don't have 6 weeks to use... I could go back 1/2 days after a few weeks.

Honestly, if I had a desk job, I'd say go back as soon as the drains are out. They're what sucks the most. I dont intend to use all 6 weeks. I'm hoping to be cleared for work in 3or 4 weeks.

Thank you soooo much for the information. I honestly can't believed I got approved on the first try, was told it might take two or three... Then I have to get it done by 12/13!

I had the same experience. No one expected I'd get approved, let alone on the first try. Then I was told it would have to be quick or the insurance company can "reevaluate" and deny you.

You'll have to wear a binder or a body suit. It's used to force fluid out of your torso so you don't heal all weird. I'm currently wearing the binder I got from the hospital but I have a body suit I bought too. It was kind of too uncomfortable which is why I asked to change it at the doctor.

Binder or body suit? Do you have a recommendation?

I have both. Binder from the hospital and body suit from a site called Design Veronique. They have some that will compress thighs and stomach. I'd prefer the suit but I think I got a size too small. It was like popping a can of pillsbury dough when they took it off me. It also has leg bits so it has a hole you pee and poop out of that's what I hated the most. The binder just goes to my hips so my nethers are clear for take off.

lordy that sounds like No Fun At All, but I'm glad you are doing so well. congratulations on being through the worst part.

Never had plastics (damned laptop, doesn’t want to spell the word I’d prefer to use). But I did have a back brace/binder back in 2006 for 12 weeks. Mine was because of back surgery. For the first month, only time I was allowed out of it was for my shower (sitting down). I hated that thing with a passion. It was made of plastic. Went from just under my boobs to just above my nethers. Trying to sit and pee or poop was terrible but doable. I do sympathize with you.

My mom had back surgery and needed one of those terrible braces. It's one of the reasons I had wls in the first place, so I hopefully wouldn't need back surgery.
