I thought that taking calcium tablets increases the chances of getting kidney stones. Thats one of the reasons I won't take them. Maybe I've been misinformed. Also, what is CMP and PTH?
CMP: https://labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/cmp/ aka Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
PTH: https://labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/pth/ aka Parathyroid tells you how will you are doing with your calcium. Calcium, vit D, and PTH are a three legged stool. For best results as far as bone health, the calcium should be mid range normal. D needs to be, in DSers, as high normal as possible. The PTH needs to be as low normal as possible.

Go to dssurgery.com on search on calcium. That is Dr K's site. He has lots of stuff on calcium and it is confusing but basically you need to absorb calcium in your gut because if you don't it goes to your kidneys to be excreted. That can cause oxylate stones. I know it sounds counter intuitivr to take calcium to stop stones, but I backed off my calcium while having gut issues because citrate bloats me and I formed 3 kidney stones
