Having go bags ready just in case is wise. Honestly, I’m not sure I’d wait. I’d be finding someplace out of the fire area to go stay for a week or so. Maybe go visit a good friend.
That is so sweet! Thank you. Also, if you want to ship to me any portable sentimental items (Im thinking photo albums and the like), I'm happy to receive, keep them safe, and return them to you as soon as the fires are out.
We are out of the fire area…just close to it.Having go bags ready just in case is wise. Honestly, I’m not sure I’d wait. I’d be finding someplace out of the fire area to go stay for a week or so. Maybe go visit a good friend.
She’ll move him if she’s evacuated.B) I kid you not, her cat had oral surgery and “isn’t up to” being moved.
I hope so. She’s an odd character. And she had no plans to evacuate, you see. She’ll move him if she’s evacuated.
I’m not one for change but even would have done what you did.One day, when I was flying alone from Las Vegas to Burbank, the airline had oversold the flight. They came on board and offered a seat on the next flight (in an hour), a voucher for a free RT flight, and a refund for the flight I was on. I volunteered. She COULD NOT fathom how anyone would willingly change plans and arrive an hour later than they had originally planned. Just.could.not.grasp changing plans.
I mean…I lack social skills, but she’s so odd she makes me a viable candidate for Miss Congeniality!
I hope she doesn’t need to evacuate, because change is not her friend.
have you done that yet, @Spiky Bugger ????Glad you are good. How about putting some well-equipped go bags together at the apartment too, just in case. Hope it stays good where you are.
yes, what Hilary said about her; my first thought was neurodivergent in some way.she’s so odd she makes me a viable candidate for Miss Congeniality!
The winds have gone nuts. Basically the Palisades fire has “exploded”.I'm hearing the winds will get bad again soon....isn't there someone you & your husband can go visit for a bit, get away from LA ?
