The APRN added me on Contrave 5 days ago to try and get weight "unstuck" as they believe it's my thyroid causing issues because it's out of whack again.

Doesn’t look stuck to me, almost 10 lbs in one week.

what Liz said, or is it already working for you?

Liz, I hope you can get consistent relief. Since I am now taking Iron supplements I have to be mindful of what I'm eating with regards to fiber, or I get constipated from it.

I can add to the ground flax seeds I'm already putting on my salads, but don't know if that kind of thing helps with a DS gut? I get too much and it's Not Good!

I think I am about the same this week, going by pants.

I’m adjusting what I’m doing. Started back on that this morning. Added extra Miralax to my protein water.

As long as your pants fit, you’re in a good place.

Thankfully it's already working, I'm more impressed that it has helped my pain from fibro and Hashimotos. Day 2 of taking it and my pain (usually a 6 daily) went down to a 3, and it hasn't been a 3 in years. It's an off label use, but I'm still in shock a little that it has helped. It most definitely helped stop the carb cravings 100% on day 2.

That was since adding the contrave. It was bouncing around the same weight from month 4-6, finally it's dropping (quite a bit) again. They suspect it's my thyroid causing the issue.

Just make sure you are NOT backed up/constipated when you take fiber. You want to be cleaned out well because if you add fiber to constipation it’s like pouring in concrete!

What Susan said. I take my fiber basically the same time every morning. And my Miralax is in my morning tea.
