That’s a very conscientious surgeon! But it doesn’t seem like your pain is being managed properly. If you add a benadryl and an antinausea medication you can have a little more relief. Bonine is an OTC medicine for nausea and together hopefully you will feel less burning or you’ll care less! Sorry you’re suffering though!

I may have been prematurely trying to wean myself off the heavy narcotics. I think my pain will greatly improve when I can sleep in more than 1 annoying position.

Yeah why let yourself suffer!! It’s too early to wean. If it makes you feel better, there’s heavier narcotics than that! You need these still so your body and brain isn’t so stressed out and can spend its energy healing rather than fighting pain.
