just started using the pedometer on my smart phone and I am surprised and encouraged to find I take 8000 steps in six hours of work without even trying. I mean, just regular work.

if I had a desk job all this time I think I'd be back to my pre-op weight already so I'm glad I don't!!!

I'll bet I can get it up to 10,000 easy.

Oh I bet you can too...esp with dogs to walk.

Hello all,
Happy Sunday

LW: 119

Holding steady. I was up a bit during the week about 4 pounds, which seems to be the norm for me but am back down this morning.

Congratulations to all the losers Scott sorry you are one of them.
Best
Whitney

Last week 149.8
This week 148.8
Total loss of 1 pound

Today is the last day, of week two of Atkins Induction (Phase 1). I lost 4.8 pounds in the first two weeks. Hubby lost a little over 8 pounds! We start Phase 2 tomorrow, we get to add a whopping 5 grams of carbs to round us up to a grand total of 25! I guess I shouldn't complain, at least my weigh seems to be dropping again after a more than 5 month stall.

A NSV, yesterday I bought a new pair of inc jeans, sized 4! Never in my life have I been a sized 4 anything! Wild! I am about 4 pounds from goal, still hoping to hit it. We shall see. I am going to have an interruption to the Atkins diet while we travel to Ireland. We leave here on the 28th of July and will be back on the 5th of August. While I plan to eat protein first and watch my carb intake, travel is not a super easy time to be on 25 grams of carbs. I'll do my best.

While the lb is great, the NSV is AWESOME!

And PICTURES while you are in Ireland...Have fun.

Good job all!
Sorry Scott. Must be unnerving and I do hope you have resolution soon.

Enjoy your trip NA and don't worry too much about the food except to ENJOY it! I have found that one of the best parts of my DS is its forgiving nature. Last summer 5 weeks of eating my way through Turkey and England (always conscious of adequate daily protein and fat) and didn't retain any gain. Just got back to my 'regular' way of eating.

Still stuck.
Colonoscopy in the morning.
Clear liquids only yesterday and today. I'm starving! Lol
Sorry you are stuck.
Hope they give you some answers tomorrow. And good luck. And make sure someone else listens to what he tells you afterward. I didn't remember a damned thing mine said.

I'm baaaack.. ;)

5 down from a week ago, so likely water.. only changes- not eating pizza/junk/carryout for several meals throughout the week, & cutting back (actually stopping completely for the last several days) with the drinks/beer. Debloat time.

I will be heading to Columbus again (1hr drive, ea way) to caretake my mom's cats while the most wonderful-ist husband, Todd, goes on to visit with mom at the rehab center. He realizes the amount of stress she can bring out in me, and has thrown himself on that grenade (his distance emotionally, and work in mental health helps.. he's taken to calling her his "Cbus site.")

So temptation stress eating/drinking awaits on the front.. but I'm not planning on indulging.

My recent posting spree is showing me that I'm starting to crawl out of the isolation hole I put myself into a couple years ago.. Dad's gone (that's not a good thing), mom's medicalized (that's good), and my crazy stress-filled job, directly due to the actions of a hugely negative supervisor, is gone.. that's a very good thing, though not financially! I do get severance pay till Aug 1.. Just need to start the hunt again.. eventually.

Life is starting to feel a little lighter.. :)

@star0210, hoping all is ok with you & whatever they are looking at test-wise with you. I really appreciated the kind words a while back when my dad was dx'd, it was a rough but worthy ride.
