A note from my physician stating a yearly Dexa is a medical necessity will allow me to have one each year according to Medicare. Same with a Pap smear.

I've had yearly for most of the time without a note. (One crack to be happy about falling into it). I have them done at my PCP's office. The charge would be around $200. Where I have to be careful is abiding by the one year plus one day for the Prolia itself. That's closer to $2000.

One interesting fact about osteoporosis is that is also affects those little ear crystal that help maintain balance. The procedure of trying to get that dizziness solved is an easy fix with the Epley Maneuver.

I was under the impression that Prolia shots were every 6 months and Medicare pays for mine scheduled that way.
You're correct. I was just moaning about the pickiness of the government. I think "once a year" means anytime once a year anytime as long as the last two numbers aren't the same. i.e. Dec 2024 then Nov 2025.

One would think as much as I have been around the Federal Government in healthcare and the military I should know better.
