Charles has a cousin out in SF who works as an ICU nurse. Typically we take what she says with a very large grain of salt but what she is seeing is frightening. And in this case, we believe her totally.
He needs to have special accommodations - not to be within X feet of unvaxxed jerks, due to his being immunocompromised. Of course the vaccine isn’t preventing infection and transmission of virus, just preventing MOST but not all people from getting very sick. Ugh ugh ugh.
He has a long list of health and safety accommodations, very good idea to request to limit potential exposure. Thank you!
We just received a notice that unvaccinated students will required to be tested twice weekly plus be masked indoors plus outdoors anywhere on campus, except when actively eating or in dorm rooms. Vaccinated students only have to wear masks indoors and for them, testing is optional, but readily available.
I hope the unvaccinated young adults make better choices once they are away from the influence of their parents and they tire of the hassle of testing and outdoor masking.
Very good point. Thanks for reminding me to trust in him.I’d be going nuts, but I’d also trust that Liam…far more than the average bear…understands that 18 or 19 years of age ≠ immortality. He knows from life and death issues and will exercise caution.
