Vanessa, go good to see you here, and esp to know that you got your long awaited DS! Now you can hang out here, with all the other cool kids, including a couple that you already know.

Hi Larra!!;-) And I owe my DS to you and Diana! I most certainly wouldn't be here without you! I'm glad Diana reached out and steered me over here...now I know I'm in the right place, in the right hands;-)

Hi everyone, My name is Janah. I am scheduled to have my DS with Dr Stephen Boyce on May 12. I am week two of four of my pre-op diet. Im 34, HW 309, CW 290 and I think my BMI was at 52 for my last appt. I'm so so ready to have this surgery. I had to do the 6 moth supervised diet for my insurance so it feels a little crazy that I am only two weeks out now. :)

I have come over here a few times to lurk. I'll be honest, I find FB so much easier to use! But, this is a lifeline for me. So, I figure I need to stop in and say hi and use this site more frequently. DS, 4 years out May 24, that is just a few weeks away. Dr. Gintas Antanavicius @ Abington Hospital in Abington, PA. He's a great cutter! I have no complaints. Just trying to get my calcium intake up to where it needs to be so I can hopefully reverse the osteopenia in my spine, which may be hereditary, since my father and paternal grandmother have osteoperosis of the spine. Other than that, life is pretty hunky dory :) Oh, and I live in Tucson, AZ! I already know a lot of ya'll!

Hi Vanessa, Janah, and Dvan!

My name is Eileen. I had RNY by Dr. Simper in May 2005. I have kept off only 48% of what I originally lost. I'm seriously sad about that. But, some support from other WLS people has made me realize I'm not alone in this. I'm looking at RNY -> DS revision with Dr. Simper. I've just begun the process. My two biggest concerns right now are that my insurance won't cover because my BMI is 'only' 37.6 and surgical complications.

I'd really like a solution to the voracious hunger I have.
