We hate Comcast too - but at the moment, there is no reasonable alternative for our purposes. When they start connecting the houses to the optical fiber cables they've been laying around us for the last few years, we're all in.

We lost all connectivity nightly. Cancelled tv, went with antenna Hulu and Netflix. Cancelled phone and went with what is really a Verizon Wireless home phone. We MAY someday have fiber optics with a different provider...they stopped two blocks from here.

So, our internet is about $40/mo. Home phone is $25-ish/mo. Hulu and Netflix together are about $16/mo.

So we've had an over 50% drop in expenses and the only thing we miss is Jon Stewart, but we can see him the next day.

But this CSR? What an *******. I mean, you know his job was on the line and his retention numbers had to improve...but he may have missed that mark.

Sounds like my call to Sirius to cancel my radio. She kept asking me why, I kept saying because I wanted to. She posed several possibilities; I kept replying I wanted to cancel. Now I get contacted 2-3 times a month with offers to re-connect. At least they're by e-mail or snail mail. Send to trash without talking to some annoying idiot; love it.

That's a call I'm dreading! I've tried to cancel 3 times and they keep giving me huge discounts so I keep it. Now that Anthony is fired from Opie and Anthony, hubby thinks it's time for real

The contract was for my car. Now that I'm not spending 90+ minutes each day on my commute, it was an easy decision. It really was none of her business as to why; all she had to do was make the arrangements for it to stop at the end of my contract date. The only huge discount I'd accept is FREE, and I don't think that will ever happen. LOL
