And the story continues.

While attempting partial weight bearing I began to experience bad pain. I knew I had a split tendon in 3/2020, but the lockdown ended any thoughts of fixing it. Well the surgeon pushed on it today and I shrieked. He said if it was going to heal it would have already. So it needs to be fixed.

Unfortunately, he had nothing open till October on LI. I asked about his Manhattan practice so I’ll be at NYU in mid September. It’s way less serious than what I had done on 5/25/21, and only 2 weeks immobile and then the boot for 4-6 weeks. I sure hope I can begin walking again during those weeks.

But it’s just another month of being home till it’s fixed. At least I have range of motion PT exercises I can do but it’s turning into my longest summer ever.

You all made me laugh and feel good. Rare this morning as I was feeling very low. I’ve been on disability since the beginning of May and just saw it stretching out so much longer.

But I have good news. Just got a call from the Doctor’s office. They had a cancellation for this coming Tuesday. And on LI not in Manhattan which is much easier for me. Presurgical testing is tomorrow.
Let’s just get this thing over with.

Had the surgery yesterday at 4. Was home by 7. Luckily I wake up almost instantly from anesthesia.

The block lasted till late this morning. Now it’s time for Oxy.
