Actually there isn't a big difference...except maybe the fact that flatfoot clogging is usually done solo and most of the cloggers in this area usually do their clogging as part of square dancing.

Growing up, I did attend square dances near Cedar Mtn, NC (Transylvania County) where clogging was very common and even tried it but was never coordinated enough to pull it off!

Yeap, it's just an outgrowth of the small 4 person sets that were extremely popular in this region back in it's early days.Never experienced the big set until last month. Didn't know it was a whole different style.
