It’s not that type of holiday. It’s a day to remember the members of the armed services who died serving their country. You wouldn’t tell anyone who lost their family member “happy funeral”.
But those members we lost would be the first to say, go enjoy your picnics, BBQ, games, shopping deals, whatever. But spend a few minutes remembering why we have the freedom to do all these things.
