Surgeon Recommendations in Chattanooga, TN

I have the option to go to Texas for surgery, but I live here in Chattanooga. I am self-pay. I've found a couple of options and wanted feedback if anyone has it.

This would be for VSG.

I've found a Dr Pounce with the Chattanooga Bariatrics. Superficial Internet research shows decent reviews, but what do YOU know?

I saw Chattanooga Bariatrics...MY issue is their web site...any place that offers a special on the crap band, I would run like hell. Most good surgeons are taking out more of those every month.

He may be a good surgeon...
Ask him why they still offer the lab band?
Ask how long he's being doing the VSG?
What his complication rate is?

Well, I did look up Dr. Bounce that you suggested in Knox. He, as well, offers Lap Band. I know most are taking them out, which is why I'm not even considering that. However, Dr. Bounce is also twice the amount for self-pay. Oy!

Continuing my search.

Yeap, Dr. Boyce still offers it but it's not a "big" ad right in the middle of the home page of their web site like it is with Chattanooga Bariatrics. And yes, he is expensive on the self pay....
