I’ve been floating between those two numbers, I’m fine with that.

So is everyone getting ready for Thanksgiving? We are just us two again this year.
Menu:
Ham (most everyone here knows we don’t do turkey)
Mac & cheese (I normally make my own but not this year, we found a good substitute)
Cornbread stuffing
Acorn squash, found a new way to cook this and it’s excellent. No need for brown sugar. Cut in half, then cut the halves in about 1 inch sections, mix olive oil, garlic, and Parmesan cheese in a bag and coat, cook at 400 til done.
Homemade cranberry sauce
Crescent rolls

good!

I haven't weighed and won't go to the gym until tomorrow at the earliest but suspect I am down a little.

Thanksgiving is at a friend's house and I decided to cook NOTHING but bring food someone else prepared. so, it's a bottle of red wine and garlic mashed potatoes from a French Restaurant.

The Hosts and other guests are all good cooks and will be making all the usual, albeit in gluten free versions.

Have a good time. I would love to be able to drink wine, but I don’t like the effects it gives me.

Sounds like your clothes are fitting better.

I've never done Thanksgiving before, next year, after I move to Tennessee, will be my first year. Already looking for a tried and true turkey recipe 😁

We have my favorite Thanksgiving situation - reservations! We're headed to Fogo de Chao again this year - we let Hannah's pick since this will be her first time home since she left for college this summer, and she'll only be with us for a few days!

Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday. I'm grateful for this site and all of you!

Since I don’t do turkey, I can’t help. Although tuning it upside down and stuffing it with lots of butter helps. LOTS of butter. My baby half sister made the best turkey I ever had. She used three lbs of butter, one lb in the cavity, one lb between the skin and the meat, and one lb to baste with.
