For the last 10 years, we’ve requested donations to keep this site going but now that site no longer belongs to me, I have a different request.

Give to your favorite charity, if it’s animal related, give local. They are the ones needing most help. If it’s veteran related, find one that suits your beliefs. If you can’t decide, the victims of Hurricane Helene in the Carolina’s, eastern TN. Upper GA all still need help and there are charities unrelated to the Red Cross that are worth donating to, like Brother Wolf (a local animal rescue to that area), Samaritan’s Purse, etc. Adding another animal rescue in the NC area. One my husband and I have adopted several cats from. It’s Paws, Prayers, and Promises. A 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization. The founder has no actual location except her home, she has a bunch of volunteers who foster in the area, a veterinarian clinic who works with them for next to nothing, and they use a thrift store in the area to raise money. The cost of adopting is a donation. Not a fixed fee. Last time we adopted two, we donated $25, and since they had not yet been fixed, we got them fixed at our expense so the cost of fixing them could roll over to two others instead. Their work is awesome.
