The house we just bought was a foreclosure, empty for a long time, and then flipped by clueless people. One of the "features" included was a Reverse Osmosis system which, like everything else here, wasn't working.
We have one of those essentially worthless Home Warranty policies and we called them. If the warranty people had replaced the whole system, we'd have a new tank AND new filters. But the plumber told them that the tank, and just the tank, needed replacing. So now that they have replaced the tank, the only parts that need replacing are the filters and of course, the policy won't pay for filters.
My problem is that we have no idea what filters we need...there is no visible brand name, model number, model name...no.damned.thing.
We THINK the system will work...IF we can buy and install the lousy filters. So what do we do to figure out what to buy?
PS...we buy a LOT of bottled water and we think the RO system might save us a bunch of money.
