3X to small in 13 mos. Love my DS
how Long will this right side incision hurt so bad? I get that it is where my stomach was removed but man oh man it hurts!

Hi Marissamast,
I had my surgery with Dr. Simper 4 weeks ago today. The incision on my right side is still pretty tender. However, it also split open (and is still open). I had my lapband removed from the same place, so my incision may also be a bit larger than yours......about 3 1/2 inches long. It does get better. For me it has become more of a "pulling" sensation vs. real pain.

Mine hurt for a couple of weeks, but less and less each day. Please let your doctor/nurses know if your pain is not adequately controlled, so they can adjust medicine. Glad you out of surgery and on your way to your new future! Stay hydrated!!!! Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
it varies, I had no pain at all after the first day or two so it was very hard to remember not to lift things, etc.

AH HAH! Woke up Sunday morning with virtually NO PAIN!!! Slept on my side for the first time last night. It is TRUE! You get better every day. Thanks for your support!!!
