It totally slipped my mind. Yesterday was 2 year anniversary of getting the DS.. most of you guys know anything that could happen pretty much has happened to me.

Since I've been sick so much I have I have had plenty of people tell me I bet you wished you stayed fat. Dr K even made a comment. To which I had to respond remember dr. K it wasn't about vanity it's about diabetes and side effects. It's about my mom and ALL 14 siblings has renal failure, 2 got transplants and still died.. mom's twin lost a kidney at age 31. Her five siblings still alive are in various stages of renal failure. My grandmother lost her sight and became a double amputee.

The day of surgery I weighed 227. Now when I get on the scale it says 133 and I'm still over weight. Go figure

Overall I'm satisfied and won't complain..

Happy surgiversary, C! Wish it were an easier path, but glad you are on your way to a long and healthy future!

I hate that you are still dealing with complications. You are definitely a cautionary tale! I hope you get better soon and stay better!

Happy 2 years mark C! I know it has been rough but you have a great attitude and are soon going to knock this shit out, and for good!

Happy 2 Year Surgiversary! I am new and don't know all the complications you have had to go through, but to hear the history of your family it sounds like you chose the better path for the long run. Your weight loss is awesome and hope that will help with keeping you from getting diabetes. I sure hope these years ahead are trouble free and you can enjoy the freedom and life that DS has given you.

@Charris you have absolutely the best attitude of any one woman. Of any one that deserves to be whining it is by all means you! I have only been on this site approx 6 months so do not know your whole story. I need to go read all your posts - but damn woman, since I have been here you have had improvement and several things happen, but always you are positive and without regrets.

My hats off to you and I hope the universe gets over picking on you! Hugs to you lady. You are an inspiration and for anyone struggling you are a touchstone.
