We bought this house two years ago. Got a conventional loan, because the house would not have passed a VA inspection, and a +/-4.5% loan. Fixed a bunch of stuff and THEN got the VA loan at 3.25%.

So, two escrows in about a year.

I SWEAR that somewhere in all of those reams of paper I read that a block wall on our east side was on the property line and commonly owned by us and the neighbor to our east.

Now I want to increase the height of that wall. Knowing that it's at least part mine would help. (Those neighbors purchased with the wall already there AND...I don't speak Mandarin.)

If it's part mine, I'll add a course or two of blocks. If it's theirs, I will just add a redwood fence on my side of that wall.

SO, WHAT WOULD BE THE NAME OF THE DOCUMENT ON WHICH THAT INFO...if I wasn't hallucinating...WOULD HAVE BEEN ENTERED. THERE ARE LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF PIECES OF PAPER...lol

It should be on the legal property description and that should be on most of your documents. It's on that last mortgage you signed. I have an old mortgage of mine and the property description is there. Now another alternative is to check the property description on the County Assessor's site and look at your property tax bill.
