Freddled gruntbuggly
I have two German Shepherds that are right now working out their pack hierarchy. Not fun at all, for anybody, but yesterday it got pretty funny. Their fights are 99% theater, but scary hell. They generally haven't hurt each other other than the occasional little puncture wound. We've been to vets and even a dog behaviorist vet and other than costing ton of money, they all say "give them time, they don't hate each other, you are not dealing with aggression, just a very complex relationship."
We installed our biffy in a TINY bathroom and that is where they ended up while they were fighting. Somehow they pressed and held the lever on the biffy, but without a human ass there to stop it, the darn thing just turned into a geyser!! They had closed the door behind them and were pressed against it, so all we could hear was growls and them smashing around the room and WATER, tons of water splashing! It even started running under the door. I don't know how long it lasted, always feels like hours, but by the time we got in there the whole room was soaked and they were dripping wet, so they both immediately shook it off. By the time we got them calm enough to get them out there was water running down the walls.
It is funny now, and my bathroom is particularly sparkly today. But there is a rather large lesson to be learned here: always keep both lids down on a biffed toilet.
