Oh No! The dreaded GIRL SCOUT COOKIES are here. The insidious little morsels pandered by adorable little girls! Oh Horrors! And this year three of those little darlings are my little grands. Could you resist?

I buy Samoa's for my husband. No temptation for me I do not like them. Thin Mints and Scott Tees (the call them something else now) are my favorites.

Peanut butter patties (I'm not sure they even call them that anymore) are my favorite-- I need to go to school & find a girl who wants to sell me some!
(Peanut butter is protein, right?)

I just ordered 7 boxes. We will see how fast I get them back out of here before I eat them all.

As a former scout I can't resist supporting a Girl Scout selling cookies, but I don't even let the cookies come into my house anymore. I love the Girl Scouts program that lets me buy cookies that will be sent to our military overseas. The Girl Scout makes a sale, I've supported her effort, our military troops get cookies, and the cookies never make it to my mouth. ;)

The grandbabies ARE adorable! Here they blanket the grocery stores and people at work bring in the order forms from their kids/grandchildren. Small confession though? I was a Girl Scout and they no longer make any of the ones I loved when I was a little girl (except for Thin Mints because they are so beloved) which makes it easier! @Sandy, I didn't know that they would send ones that you bought overseas! Thank you! I'll have to check that out!

Oh Shann those peanut butter patties are the Tagalongs. Those, and the other peanut butter Do-si-dos are my absolute favorites. My husband is severely allergic to peanut butter. I don't like Samoas and don't like the Thin Mints...much, which are his faves, so lucky me. We had to buy at least two boxes from each Granddaughter, but they don't come till March 1st. Those little "adorables" had sold 113 boxes between them by yesterday afternoon, and that was just in their neighborhood going person to person, house to house. They have done all the "selling" themselves and still have the other Grandparents and relatives to charm. Last year the other little grand sold 280 boxes her first year. All three take their cookies very seriously. :)

I am so thankful to be still a baby DS'r and sweets hold absolutely no appeal to me right now. In fact, I pushed it on my birthday and ate a piece of my favorite cake(small!) and got really sick. Sugar and carbs all make me feel lousy, not to mention the gas and other bathroom issues..
I won't say where....but there is a discount store that carries girl scout knock offs for half price. I feel dirty and evil for typing that. My ex husband was obsessed with the Somoa's and would buy them by the case full. Of course, he could....he never gained an ounce. Asshole. LOL

I have a brother in law like that...skinny as a rail, eats ALL kinds of junk and doesn't gain an ounce. ALL I can hope is my niece inherited HIS metabolism and not her moms (ours)
