Stopped by to have a cup of coffee with my mom's almost-94-year-old cousin. We were invited...expected...even arrive a few minutes late because of freeway construction.
The visit lasted about 35 minutes.
Cousin's daughter (there most days as primary caregiver) never came out to say hello. We yelled good-bye and she cheerfully yelled back.
Her very ancient mother looked kind of embarrassed and said, "I'm sorry...she takes two and a half hours to get dressed, every day, and never comes out until every hair is exactly where she wants it."
Wow.
