Probiotics a waste on money?

Did anyone see this report on 60 Minutes?

All the scientists, except for the industry-sponsored guy, seem to think probiotics don't do anything.

What do you all think?

They're the most expensive part of my regimen and I sometimes wonder if I need to take them.

All I know is that I feel worse without them. So I take them.

I had a pain in my side for months about 8-9 years ago. No one could figure out what it was. It was then suggested it might be a SIBO. Probiotics fixed it. I haven't had the pain since.

My stench would be intolerable without my probiotics. They aren’t that expensive, though not cheap.

My current regimen is two/day, one each of Primal Defense Ultra (about $55/216 caps, or 25¢/day), and 1 Culturelle (about $23/80 caps or 29¢/day). 54¢ x 30 = $16.20/month.
