We were in Monterey yesterday and today. There was a store in Cannery Row that sells exotic jerky - including alpaca jerky. :-(

oh, dear, I couldn't eat that. well, maybe I could. a friend of mine raised rabbits for meat and I did try that. they were sweet and soft alive and yet I was able to eat them.
