Liz, even though I know you certainly know everything there is to know about having arthritis, as a therapist I have to ask: do you practice Joint Protection?

lots of stuff about it I could post if you are interested. finger joints are tiny and vulnerable!

Oh, just Liz? Only LIZ counts?

What about people with knees going south? And wrists? And osteoporosis hitting the hips? Oh, and SI joints...what about those?
 
no, everybody counts. in fact, my strong believe in Everybody Counts is why I joined UU churches twice now, and hope to again.*

but it's her thread and she talked about hands: in OT joint protection is mostly about hands because the joints are small and therefore vulnerable to deforming stresses. so I was aiming that at Liz and Sheanie as well.

the idea is you start protecting the joints in your hands before you end up with deformed fingers, or before they get worse.

I'll post links tomorrow, hopefully. too done with this day!
