so sorry to hear your Daddy isn't doing well. I think daughters have a special place in their hearts for their daddies and it is difficult when they are no longer the strong and larger than life presence from our childhood. While you spend time with him during this current illness, always remember the vibrant role he played throughout your life

He actually had an almost alert day Thursday...while he did not respond to me, he did to Cathy...she leaned down to hug him and he reached his good arm around her, not just once Thursday but several times...but Friday morning, he slipped into a coma. He's still in the coma. Cathy considers Thursday a gift.

Daddy died at 5PM this afternoon. His passing was very peaceful.
