MrSue has been taking immunosuppressant drugs for about 15 years. There have been gaps. Getting them through cheaper channels (the VA) always takes time. But he HAS taken them, a lot, for RAGING psoriasis/psoriatic arthritis.

He had COVID-19 vaccines in January and February.

We understand that transplant patients are far more at risk. And we just learned about this the other day, and he has already been tested for antibodies even though this article…which I didn't see until today… says that’s not a great idea.

So we wait, again.

Meanwhile, the more you know…

Interesting and a little scary. I wonder if extra vaccinations spanning multiple vaccine types (e.g. taking both an mRNA and a viral vector type) would help protect the immunocompromised population. I worry because my mom has rheumatoid arthritis and my son's body makes a habit of overproducing cortisol.

Thanks for sharing the article. Stay safe and well!
