because I am sick of paying to have my hair colored with chemicals (so damaging, expensive, and I get roots right away ) and yet I hate my gray. it's not a lovely silver, it's Dead Mouse Gray

one of my co-workers (a warm hearted woman that I like) was appalled when I told her this - she thinks my coloring is all wrong for it. I think I should try, anyway, and see how it looks.

thanks to @Munchkin for the advice - I just have to find some and go for it.

I also might buy a wig after seeing how much fun some of y'all are having with them. I figure I'd get a blonde one.

Post a picture! My avie is me and you can see the color of my hair. Or try on a reddish wig. I think there are some sites out there where you can upload a pic of yourself and try on different hairstyles and colors.

What's this? What did I miss? I have always wanted red hair. I tried it but it fades so fast that I was coloring twice as much. Are all the Henna reds dark or are there lighter ones? How can I be sure it is a 'pure' henna? Post pics, Jackie! Before and afters. :)

well...not sure how I can post photos since I don't have a smart phone. I can take a photo and "text" it to someone to post, I guess.

I do plan to try it, if I don't like it so what. can color over or wouldn't it just fade with washing? I don't know if she is right be I know if my hair is lightened it gets reddish naturally. I am guessing that means I have some red in it anyway, so why would it look bad?

I could get a wig, too. except for the cost come to think of it. money is a little tight after the move, sadly.

You hair would be much lighter. And yes there are different shades. Go to the Indian grocery and check them out. With your light hair I would probably get the lightest shade possible. It does lighten a bit over time but it is classed as a permanent color.

Look at my avie. That's henna.

@Spiky Bugger this is the place - because of your PM I think I will get my hair cut short and let it grow out gray so it's all one color before I try the henna.

the excitement builds! :pdt mat:
