Who are you seeing? There are LOTS of surgeons who SAY they do the DS to get you into their clutches, and then inform you that you are "not a good candidate for the DS" but only for a surgery they CAN do. We call them "Bait-and-DON'T-Switch" surgeons.

Hey Tiffany - and welcome. The DS is a great choice, much preferable to the RNY in my opinion. Like Diana asked, which DS surgeon are you seeing? The regulars here can tell you if they're a vetted DS surgeon or not. Enjoy the forum! The vets here are really knowledgeable.
