I ran into a DSer I hadn't seen in a long time today. She doesn't participate on any of the message boards or go to meetings, but she's a pretty smart cookie. We talked about a bunch of stuff, and one of topics was the problems she is having with vitamin D. She then started to tell me she was working with an endocrinologist and was taking prescription D - at which point I interrupted with NOOOOO - and she responded - YESSSSS.
Apparently, she TRIED to bring her D up and her PTH down with BioTech D3 in the appropriately high amounts, and it didn't budge. She then tried the prescription D2 in high amounts, per her endo - and it's working at least to some extent. Apparently, some of us MAY be able to use D2 better than D3.
At least that's what she said.
