Looking for Traditional DS in Illinois

I went through my initial consultation and had started my dietitian appointments, but after doing my required call with United Healthcare's Bariatric Resource Services I have been told that Dr. Vivek Prachand and University of Chicago is no longer on their list of approved providers.

Now I am starting this whole process over after a few months of work scheduling appointments. Are there any surgeons who are good for Traditional Duodenal Switch in the Chicago area? The

Sorry to read this. Dr. Alverdy at U of C is my surgeon. Who is on United's list?

Not in the Chicago area but Dr. Bonanni performs the traditional DS in Quincy, IL. He typically does not use Hess CC parameters anymore, though, from my understanding.

Oh, yes! I think he’s very good. I just know some people are specifically looking for that criteria so figured it was worth mentioning. I think he still does in some rare cases, but not much anymore.
