UK People, hook me up!

Well at least you know what you are in for lol. My appt Friday is at 1:30 and I plan on showing up at 12:30 just hoping to increase the chances of missing rush hour in london...ugh....not much worse way to spend friday night than I can think of lol
BTW I wasn't really wishing that you'd miss rush hour on the other side... 'twas just a silly thought.

Maybe you'll miss rush hour on the other side. I've heard patients say they've waited 5 hours. You shouldn't have to risk your job to go to hospital!! :-(

Well, back when I had a job I used to take the whole day off as holiday because I live in Berkshire near Reading...so takes near enough 2 hours to get there and then a 5 hour wait...so yeah, its a full day for us :/ BUT at least my time is coming...so no complaints :)

Donni - you will get Calcium Citrate (CacitD3), Solvazinc, AquaADEK and centrum advance multivit on prescription. Iron (but will be the wrong kind)

@huneypie - some of these links are better than the last ones I PMed you (on FB) so may be worth checking out.

@DuodenalSwitchaRoo - it makes my heart swell that you are not following the ignorant UK majority and popping a multivit, calcium carbonate and 400iu of D!

lol I have researched this wayyy to long and waited much longer to be a stupid foolish tardmuffin about it! lol. I want to get it right from the get go. I don't want to have to crawl back here and whinge about labs being in the sewer when I KNOW better. And the DS is like the matrix...once you know, you cannot un-know! :)

Thanks :) And @kirstabelle I think. Now..needless to say....I need this spelled out for me....in the fashion of for Dummies.

Also, which probiotic is best. I have experience with Yokult (yummy!) but I'm sure that has carbs galore as it tastes like a dreamcicle.
With regard to the probiotic: I've been doing some research into them, and have discovered that the most common strains actually cause you to put on weight. One that helps people lose is the Lactobacillus Gasseri strain. It probably doesn't matter very much, as the surgery itself will do the job, but I didn't want to lose more slowly than absolutely necessary, so I ordered Probiotica P3 by NutraLife. It's made in New Zealand, but may be available elsewhere. P3 just means there are 3 different strains of probiotics in each capsule. There is a single strain L-Gasseri available in Luxembourg here http://www.supersmart.com/en--Probiotics-Prebiotics--Lactobacillus-gasseri--0646.

@DuodenalSwitchaRoo I didn't 'consciously' take probiotics for the first year. I say 'consciously' as I had Total Greek yoghurt which has them and this seemed to be helping unbeknown to me. I stopped for a while and didn't feel any worse, but when I went back on it I felt better.

I now take this when I'm not having any live yoghurt http://www.amazon.co.uk/HealthAid-A...391186641&sr=8-2&keywords=healthaid+probiotic

I kinda held off coz I'd read some people say that probiotics actually made things worse. I've not looked into it the way Parousia has, so if you can stretch to it her stuff may well be worth a shot. I suspect very early on you won't notice too much difference as you'll be experiencing what it means when they say 'never trust a fart' he he!!

Funny you mention sky high B6 - mine also went through the roof when taking the B-complex. My doctor is puzzled- has anyone figured out why we super absorb that particular vitamin?

Right. Just spent a crapload on vits, but got enough to last a few months. Only made the vitacost order so far as I have to account for forever and a day shipping times. I have saved all the UK links to my amazon wishlist so I cna order that next month after I get paid lol. I can see being healthy is going to cost a bit ;) Worth every damn penny!!!!
