Yes…but when wasn’t it? There were DIFFERENT complications back in the day, but just think: if it were EASY, there‘d be no need for a Mother’s Day!
I guess it would never be easy; you are right.
my Grandma had 9 kids and she used to say "the last 5 were easier than the first 4".
but maybe because my Aunt Margaret was the oldest and ended up doing a lot of the work.
