Last week 115
This week 116 and I was stable most of the week. I’ve been eating oatmeal every morning in an effort to help lower my LDL naturally.

My liver won’t allow statins, it threw a fit, sent my ALT and AST over 300. So my cardiologist wanted me on an injectable for just 5 DAMNED points. My ldl was 75 not 70. With insurance, the cheapest was over $350. Single Care and GoodRX was no help. So I messaged him back and said I’d work on adding fiber rich foods to lower it naturally. I simply could not afford the injectables on our budget. He wants me on a statin so bad but my body said NO!

I have glad you're listening to your body! The prices of these medicines are absolutely insane.

How are you feeling from the recent illness?

I think the fluke of the migraines being gone is over, I'm in day 2. I'm terrified of the Botox suggestion from Nuero, but also desperate enough to do it.

Because of my heart, they won't let me have a preventative. I'm still going to hold off and see if the magnesium heals them.

Liz, I'm glad you have been stable and hope the oatmeal, etc, is helping.

Sara, you are doing great! (btw, your signature still has you as a pre-op)

Yes, they are insane but they aren’t generics yet. I haven’t yet selected a part D plan for next year but the injectable’s aren’t covered by ANY of them at less than 350 a month, that’s on top of the cost of the plan of 150! If I ignore the injectable, I can get a plan D for $0. And I can bet the prescription cost many times by using GoodRX, Single Care, or the Kroger plan.

You did great this week. You need to find something to control those migraines. Something your heart is okay with.

It seems to be at least keeping me stable even if it’s on the low end.

I’m sorry you are up.
