The company that hosts my server had a price increase on my control panel but offered what I thought was an alternative that would not cost an extra $20 a month.
So, that migration happened about 1AM ET Sunday morning. I woke up to not getting in. I put in a support ticket about 9AM. Btw, they finally answered it overnight with a bunch of horseshit babble about my DNS records being all wrong. The DNS worked fine prior to the migration and now, with a new hosting company they work fine AGAIN.
Anyway, while I was waiting on them to respond, I did some research on changing hosting companies in places that deal with them daily. I found us a great replacement and figured, while we were down anyway, to take advantage and save money as well.
My old host ran us $100 a month. Add the cost of the control panel, that had raised my price to $120. With this new hosting company, I was able to get almost setup for $77. a month “forever”.
And we are BACK!!!!!
