Having no firsthand experience with either place, I'd choose Hong Kong. It seems like it would be more exciting, a place that your kids would be so much less likely to see otherwise. London is easy to take a shorter vacation to a other time

I'm frightened by the phrase "special kind of hot". My sister did her undergrad at Rice in Houston and I almost melted like the Wicked Witch of the West when I would visit her. Not sure if that was even close to "special hot", but humidity and I are not friends. In any case, apparently I have little say in the matter. Looks like the kids want London so they can spend time with their cousins in Amsterdam. Now to figure out who will take care of Isaac, my amazing 20 year old cuddle cat - and my home.
