We finally had a good week of melting snow last week. You could actually see some bare spots in the campground and I was getting excited to be able to get outside to get some work done. Then this week the temp drops and its back to fricken winter. 4" of snow on Monday, an inch today, and 5-8" predicted for tonight into tomorrow. We open May 1st and we are so far behind! Please send us some warm weather mother nature because I'm sick of your BS!

I have never lived in the snow and have no desire to do so. San Diego, Hawaii, Richmond Ca. Thats it. My sister moved from Costa Rica to Edmonton Alberta CA and loves it. But she has a screw loose.

I hate winter! It seemed a lot more fun when you where a kid. I have always lived in WI and grew up about 40 miles south of Green Bay. When we where looking for a campground to buy we really wanted to find something in the southern part of the United States but ended up purchasing a campground 70 miles north of Green Bay. This has been by far the worst winter and my wife and I are wishing we would have went south>

I love the fall. I like winter when the snow is falling. Cold temps don't really even bother me. Now with that said this stupid polar vortex **** this winter sucked big time. I hate the cold wind. It just cuts through to your bones, it literally hurts. Not to mention winter just won't go away. I do remember when I lived in Milwaukee it snowed on Mother's day. Our neighbors roses had already flowered out, I have pictures somewhere of the roses peeking through the snow.

My lime tree-bush, apricot tree (and a little of the peach and nectarine grafts on it too), tomatoes and yellow squash plant all have fruits already set on them. My basil and other herbs are already pickable. :p I feel like Farmer John, or Mr. Green Jeans.

:( hyacynth are one of my favorites. I love looking at flowers, not much of a green thumb here. I hope next spring I will be able to get out and dig in the dirt.

Jim, I hear you - I grew up in Minnesota and snow seemed normal but when you are a kid you don't have to drive in it.

I just moved to Southern Oregon and you can't beat the climate. (well, SoCal and the Denver area would be slightly better....but this is pretty damn good)

I would have never guessed Southern Oregon would have a mild climate. Any Campgrounds for sale? LOL

our "winter" this year was about a week and a half last December and Spring came in February. not kidding!

on the other hand, it gets very hot in the summer and the fire season will probably be extra bad this summer. like California, we are in a drought.

Our winter started in November and it hasn't left yet.
