Nine Years Out and Life is STILL Good!

Congrats! When do you think you will have DH settled in MT with you? Is he planning on ranching?
ROFLMAO at the thought of Mr. EN doing anything remotely connected to ranching! I'm expecting it to take some months to find a job for myself and get moved into more permanent (and dog friendly) digs. I'm focused on either non-profit or government employment for myself for the student loan forgiveness benefit. He has just enough of a service related disability to qualify for sheltered employment, which is surprisingly widely available out here. He's been teasing me lots about landing a high paid job so he retire and learn to fish :).

Congrats on your 9 years and doing well.

As far as your Vitamin D deficiency have you tried an injection? On August 17th the day before my revision to extend my CC and AL, Dr gave me an injection of vitamin D as he wanted to boost me for the upcoming stress. My D was around 35 at that time me and I had been taking 200k IU daily for the previous two years. At my next draw a month Later my D was at 67 and my last draw it was greater than 98 (don't know how high) so I have backed down tob150k IU most days and 100 for others.

The D injection really worked for me so if you haven't tried (probably have) it might be worth a shot... Pun intended. :D
I haven't been able to find a doc willing to do that for me yet. At my last meeting with my doc out here last summer, we agreed to revisit the subject in consultation with his hematology and oncology colleagues once I got moved out here permanently.

Happy surgiversary EN!!!

I just think it is awesome that you are doing what you thought you would never be able to do...not only visit MT but actually live there. How are you and Zoe settling in?
Zoe is happy as a clam to have me all to herself :). I'm having all kinds of fun just supplying my itty bitty apartment, spending time with townfolk, and various other simple pleasures I've been unable to enjoy in our old location for many years.

Last night I went to the high school play, a VERY ambitious rendering of "Great Expectations." Pretty awesome that a high school with about 200 students could do that one! They did a good job, too, with a 2-plus hour script.

I've done nothing very serious about looking for work yet beyond updating the resume, working on my website (or attempting to lol) and networking with people with whom I connected last summer. Frankly, I put myself through two months of hell dissolving our household in NJ, and a fair amount of my day is still taken up with communications aimed at getting Mr. EN out of our house and finishing the short sale. So I'm still recovering.

Wonderful news. Congrats!

BTW, have you done a 3rd Reclast infusion or did they deem it unnecessary?
The results were, unfortunately, so minimal that we're changing tactics and going to try....um, forgot the name, that twice a year injection. Prolia?

Hopefully they will do it. Popped me up very quickly and was a 5 second injection in the arm.

Interesting. I did my Dexa recently and I saw a few tenths good and a few bad. I'm going to my bone specialist in a couple of weeks so I'll see what she thinks, but maybe we'll change, too.

So excited that you are my downstairs neighbor (it'll just take a few hours to get down those stairs, oh and a passport too :))!
Congrats on 9 years! Xo

Congrats on 9 yrs and the move! Montana is beautiful even if I did pass through half of it in the dark and lost our car top carrier in front of a semi truck. The adventure!
