Had a VSG 2 years ago. Re-gaining weight and looking for info on a DS. Have to do it self pay. Hoping for opinions/info on Mexican Docs. Thanks!

Hi there. I was a VSG to DS and also self pay.
I went to Dr. Ungson in Mexicali, Mexico.
Great experience and I totally recommend them.

Dr. Ungson, and ONLY Dr. Ungson. And even then, you have to be CRYSTAL clear that you only want the DS and not a SADI.

Hi again Cindy! Glad you found your way here. I agree completely that the only DS surgeon we would recommend in Mexico is Dr. Ungson. He is very experienced, and all of the many people we have encountered here (and on other websites) who had him as their surgeon have had very positive experiences both with him and also with the care at the hospital in Mexico.

Welcome! I had the VSG in 2010, lost about70 pounds and have regained all but 20. I'm still researching the revision to DS. I am also self-pay.
