Greetings everyone ... I had a VSG in fall 2010 and had a great experience with it until about 2 years out when I was Rx'd a medication known to cause weight gain (thank you for telling me doc!). Once I'd gained about 30 lbs.
I stopped taking it. Still, I noticed that it took more food to make me feel full and I was so accustomed to eating until I felt "just right," that I kept eating that way. Now I'm up about 50 lbs from lowest of 160ish .
I've got an appointment with my surgeon for later this month. I've posted on another site and have received responses from: "Your surgery failed you" to "You blew it" and everything in between.
What I care about is getting my weight back down by whatever means necessary. I'm hoping for a revision to a DS but it's still too early to know what's going to happen.
