So I bought this shake on a whim when I saw it in the convenience store. I grabbed it because it's one of the few RTD I can find that have such a high protein count, but low carbs and oddly enough, it didn't upset my tummy. I know the isolate proteins are the most easily absorbed, but is this one ok quality?

Meh, it's not the most highly absorbable option, but I wouldn't consider it a total waste. I wouldn't buy another one, though, if I were doing it, especially if it didn't taste awesome.

Those kinds have always made me very nauseous. I tend to stick to the whey isolate protein drinks. Except last month I had to buy the "all natural" version of my usual Optimum Nutrition Rich Chocolate? IDK what the hell was in it (read the label, nothing all that earth shaking) but I was so nauseous after two sips, I dumped the cup of coffee. Returned the whole tub and GNC actually took it back. First time EVER GNC has done that for me. Bought my old kind, no prob.

The best protein drink for YOU is the cheapest one you tolerate. Period.

Some people will tell you whey isolate is the shiz-nite. I say go by your labs. That's all that really matters. What your labs say, and what you can afford.

I've mostly been doing MRM egg white powder. It doesn't taste terrible and it mixes well (unlike some of the other egg ones) plus it doesn't have splenda or sugar alcohols like many of the other egg white powders do. I just wish I could start the day with a big ole bottle of isopure and get 50g right off the bat, but even a half serving sends me RUNNING for the bathroom. I might try another whey isolate again soon, though, and I know vitamin shoppe always takes things back for me (maybe it's because they're so fancy they needed the extra "PE" on shoppe ;) )
