to go with this whine. However, that's not going to happen. I can go days without caring whether I eat or not, making myself eat because it's the responsible thing to do. Is it too much to ask that today be one of those days? Today I woke up with my stomach growling. Today I want to eat just about anything I set eyes on. However, today I am on clear liquids only, in prep for a colonoscopy and EGD tomorrow. Whine, whine, whine. Carry on.

Maybe AFTER you have your procedures tomorrow. LOL. I had to look to see if there was even a TJ's close to me...there is but it's 35 miles southwest or 45 miles north of me. I'm in the middle of small town NC!

I like Trader Joe's a lot and I would probably drive that far to get stuff they have, like the Toscana Syrah cheese. Thankfully, I have one about 4.5 miles from me to the east and another about the same distance to the west.

Oh, and I will be having that cheese tomorrow after my procedure. lol

I've changed my mind. There is something I want more than cheese.

Today's procedure went well. Perhaps too well. They used Versed and Fentanyl for the anesthesia and for the rest of today my back has not hurt. Now the problem is that I want to not hurt like this all the time. Never mind that I slept a good part of the day as a result of these drugs. At least I slept without pain!

I feel taunted and teased knowing that this wonderful cocktail exists and I can't have it. Oh the humanity! ;)

I know that feeling well Sandy! You don't know how much pain you're in until you get RELIEF. Then it really sucks when the relief wears off.

Sandy glad your procedures went well! Trust me I know all about back pain and the evilness it causes. I'm almost 6 weeks post-op and doing more and more which is nice BUT with that also returns the constant nagging aching back pain I have to live with! EN you are exactly right...once you have the relief of that constant pain being gone it hits you hard when it returns!

Toscana Syrah cheese?? Never heard of it! Is it a mild tasting cheese? I've only been to Trader Joe's once and was too sick to really look around. Someone told me there is one about an hour away and I'm gonna check it out when the weather gets better!

The Toscana Syrah cheese isn't a mild cheese. It's a hard cheese with a fairly strong taste. If you've ever had parmesan cheese that hasn't been grated it's more like that in terms of hardness and big flavor.

Hopefully your back pain will decrease as you continue to lose weight. Lots of post-ops get to lose their back ache along with their weight.
