I have my appointment to get my lapband taking out but he won’t do the sleeve until after that has healed. Oh well I’ve had my for a long time so I guess it’s probably best. I mentioned to him that I have gerd issues but he still felt like the sleeve would be better, less risky. I don’t know maybe my age is a concern too at 68. Just got the EKG yesterday and now I’m just charting my foods which keeps me more honest with myself. Thanks for all your input

Sorry you have to wait. I had mine done in one surgery. (But I know some surgeons require the wait.)

At least you are getting started. Many surgeons are very cautious with removal of the Lapband considering how much damage that thing can cause. You’ll get there. In the meantime, get thru your removal surgery and heal.

Glad you are on a schedule for lapband removal. That's a huge step in the right direction! Hope your procedure goes smoothly and that you have a speedy recovery

I can’t believe I just had the sleeve and this is my third day of recovery. Just dealing with some pain and constipation. It’s been about 3 to 4 days and I’ve taken milk of magnesium and some softeners and taking some Gasx. Should I be concerned or is this pretty normal. Thanks for your input

Feeling so much better today even did some walking on the treadmill real slow and easy. I had walked around the house previously but my house is small and I felt I was walking in circles and the best news of all I had my BM….thank you all for the support

I did walk in circles around the dining room table. I also did up and down the hallway.

Everything is going ok…still on the blended part of diet which is driving me crazy. I’m missing regular food like crazy and even had some slip ups in really small amounts. I guess I thought I wouldn’t want to eat or be hungry but I’m sure it’s head hunger I’m fighting. Went to my 2 week check up and everything seems to be ok. My doctor wants me getting my cardio up which I struggle with because of my back and still feeling tired. I increased my walking to two days in a row and my back has hurt since. So I changed to swimming to change up but I still have pain. Is 3 days a week for about 40 minutes not enough to start. Someone else mentioned about there moods…I hear ya on that.

At this point, don’t push too hard on the exercise. Walking and if released to swimming is all you should do. Maybe do five days a week at 20 minutes.
