What's your hobby?

@RockDoc... I have this rock and I was always told it was a metor. But it's not magnetic at all. The story is that it fell on my H's family ranch in Texas back ion the 1940's. They saw the streak in the sky and went out looking on horseback the nexy day and found it in the center of a burned area. Have always wanted to know!

Need pics of jewelry!

I'm a little shy of posting jewelry pics - I don't have a website and my Flickr page has all my mistakes as well as my successes. How do I post individual pics from my hard drive? Seems simple cut and paste isn't working for a lot of folks.

Re the meteorite - it very well could be one. Only some of them are metallic - chondrites and achondrites are rocky, with spherules inside or melted-looking surfaces; tektites are glass with blobby or teardrop-shaped surfaces. All these types are no more magnetic than a piece of granite. You may be able to tell from its outward appearance or macrostructure; a thin section under a microscope would be conclusive. Got a pic? I especially like these two. Is that ribbon for the bow made entirely of icing? Amazing!
