Surprise! Surgery is today!!

I got a call from the hospital this morning. On the last DS patient this morning they could only do the sleeve. Since Dr Bonani is still here to proctor the surgery they didn't want to make him fly out again for 1 surgery...and I was next on the list. My daughter in law is taking me to the hospital now.... I can't get anyone to answer their phone (out partying too late or working the night shift) so I don't know if anyone will be there when I wake up. I haven't done a pre-op diet but I know a lot of surgeons dont require it. I'm just thankful Dr Bonani will be there and I don't have to go through the stress and anxiety of the 'countdown' over the next 2 and half weeks. Please send happy healing thoughts, prayers if you believe, and swinging chickens or squirrels and hell throw in a goat or two! See ya on the losers bench

Wow! You are a lucky duck to get to skip all the bad stuff about pre-op. Much less anxiety and starvation! Good luck for a speedy recovery.

Wha??? No pre-op diet? How can you be one of us without that starvation and suffering? (kidding -- you more than made up for it with the insurance drama) This is wonderful news! You'll do great.

Amey, what a gift this is! No time to worry, figure out what to pack, be nervous.l..just wham, here I go. I love your attitude and flexability. As Clematis said, you deserve an easy pre-op experience considering the long haul you had to get approval. I can't wait to hear from you after it's over.
