Oh my you poor thing! That's what I am afraid of after surgery I will be a popsicle next winter!Yeah, it was 70-75 the whole time my family was here then 27 last night and guess who's heat was out??? Miss "I lost a whole person's worth of insulation" went to sleep wearing socks, sweat pants, undershirt, hoodie with the hood up and gloves. LOL
I don't know how much is the loss of insulation and how much is the metabolic changes, but I used to ALWAYS be hot, always walking around the house in flip flops and a tank top, windows cracked open in the winter, and now I'm always cold. I hope this lasts through my first southern summer!Oh my you poor thing! That's what I am afraid of after surgery I will be a popsicle next winter!
I think it must be mostly the metabolic changes, because I haven't lost very much yet, but since my surgery I really feel the cold, whereas before I overheated very easily.I don't know how much is the loss of insulation and how much is the metabolic changes, but I used to ALWAYS be hot, always walking around the house in flip flops and a tank top, windows cracked open in the winter, and now I'm always cold. Nope, babe, totally normal. I never owned a winter coat when I weighed 250#. Wore an occasional sweater, but never anything woolen or alpaca. Too hot. Now I knit my own socks out of alpaca and merino. I also have made myself several alpaca sweaters and wear them well into the summer. Especially when we go to summertime concerts.I think it must be mostly the metabolic changes, because I haven't lost very much yet, but since my surgery I really feel the cold, whereas before I overheated very easily.
