Thanks everybody.

Cameron is doing well this morning. He has been up and walking since about 10 PM last night and three times since. He actually took a shower already this morning(small miracle).

Pain control is the biggest issue right now and a pain specialist is supposed to come see him today. I am hoping we can get him to try medical marijuana in pill form so we can get Cameron off narcotics as the risk from narcotics (addiction and potential over dose) is so much more than any risk from weed (eating too many doritos ;):D ).

That being said, he is doing well medically and we hope to be able to fly home Monday afternoon/evening or Tuesday AM.

Too bad you don't have to stay close to CA for another week, you know, for precautionary MJ pain reasons - I hear there's a party happening on the 21st in San Jose ...

Congrats to you and family - I hope this is the beginning of the end of his pain issues.

Wow, glad he is up and about and was able to shower, but sorry to hear his pain is not well-controlled. I hope that rapid healing will soon take away the pain and that a good solution can be found to cover him until that happens...

wow, i missed a day checking in. I was thinking about you guys this morning. What a week, month, years... you have had. I so hope things on on the mend and Cameron will breeze through recovery. It is wonderful they have him a pain specialist because they are not afraid of large doses and combinations of meds that work. This Dr. K does sound remarkable!

I'm very happy to hear he is doing well and Dr. K was able to help. I understand how wonderful it is to have the support of this board in finding such a wonderful surgeon as they did the same for me. Prayers for a speedy recovery. :)

My thoughts are with you and Cameron! I too am so happy to hear that he is doing well and on the way to recovery. Keeping you in my thoughts...

Wow! Just wow is all I can say! Unbelievable Dr. K. did it again! I am hoping this helps Cameron and he can get to have a normal life of a young man in his twenty's. I am looking forward to updates as to how things are going!

How long are you staying in SoCal? How's Cameron doing?
The plan is to catch an afternoon flight Monday, red eye monday night, or first thing Tuesday AM. Dr K is going to release him to fly home on Monday assuming everything goes fine the next few days, so I need to talk to Kristina to see how early he can see us Monday so we can get a flight lined up

Cameron is in a lot of pain, but will get through. We are trying to line up some alternative medicine for the weekend so we can get him off the constipating and addicting narcotics.

The procedure(s) went well and we are quite hopeful that this was the long term fix for his GI issues.

Thanks

I know Cameron will be glad to be getting out of the hospital. Make sure he rests but also walk around the room, up and down the hotel hallway, etc.

Scott, I have been following this thread about Cameron. Don't know his history, but sounds longstanding and painful. Glad he's doing better. Hope this surgery is his last.
