Congrats, @SmartNurse though it's too bad you have to travel so far to get the care you need. But that's the reality with a lot of RNY to DS revisions. You have chosen an excellent surgeon, and he's accustomed to working with patients who travel, so I'm sure he and his staff will help you with planning where to stay and all that stuff. It will all work out.
I live in the Bay area and work in the city I would love to come and visit you if you are up for that and it is not to creepy. I revised RNY to DS 2.5 years ago.
I'm going to San Francisco Monday, surgery on Friday. Don't even ask how much I'm paying for my hotel. Basically a quarter of the cost of the surgery. Argh!
